It’s an EP!
After nearly a year of living in a studio, Tom Hamilton and his American Babies are back with the follow-up to their 2008 self-titled debut. For this recording, Hamilton enlisted Philadelphia producer Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, Josh Ritter, Man Man) to reinvent his rocked-out, Americana sound with a grittier and even more uncut approach. The end result is an album that talks of change, war, Wall Street, family, and the struggle to wade through it all; be it alone or with a partner. These are ten short stories of different individuals and couples trying to navigate through modern day life, hoping to at least break even. The EP, "Weight of the World," is brief glimpse into the album, which will be released later this year.

Good News/Bad News?
We’ll start with the bad:
Due to a scheduling conflict, Tommy and the Babies will be rescheduling their performances in Harrisburg, Albany, and Wilkes-Barre. We are so very sorry for the inconvenience but these shows WILL BE rescheduled ASAP so keep an ear out for an announcement soon.
Now on to THE GOOD NEWS!!:
We have three new shows to announce! American Babies will be returning to NYC’s Living Room on April 29th and making their first appearances at Boston’s Middle East and the Sellersville Theatre in Pennsylvania on April 30th and June 16th respectively.

Wilkes-Barre Resceduled
We’re happy to announce that we have rescheduled our show at Wilkes-Barre’s River Street Jazz Cafe for May 22nd. Spread the word!!
This week brings the Babies to NYC, Boston, and Asbury Park, NJ (Bruce!!) on April 29th - May 1st respectively. Check the tour page for details.

Summer Tour Dates!!
Spring saw some fun things for Tommy and the Babies; the release of the WEIGHT OF THE WORLD EP with an amazing party in our hometown, a few solo-acoustic performances, and some inspired playing as we bring our new EP to the stage.
This summer we’re gonna keep it going with a slew of shows in the North East. Highlights include a co-headlining run with our West Coast buddies Big Light, support slots for Tea Leaf Green, and Umphrey’s McGee, and a Rocks Off Boat Cruise around NYC.
